Battling the Blaze and Hoping for Rain
Cathleen Moxley
It took a lot of manpower and hours of work to control a morning brush fire that spread over ten acres of land.
Firefighters from four area fire departments as well as the Department of Forestry started battling the blazes around 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The brush fire spread over a mountain side on Riser Ridge Road off of Route 50 in Wood County.
With all the recent dry weather, they say it was only a matter of time before brush fires started popping up.
