It's a sad day here at WTAP as we get ready to say goodbye to our morning Meteorologist Alan Longstreet, who is headed back to his home state of Michigan.

Many of you know Alan by his spiky golden locks (which many of you have an opinion on) and witty personality in the morning.

Between co-anchoring and carpooling with Alan in his beauty of a car (pictured below) it has been a fun year a half, but there is something you should know about him if you haven't already picked up on it: Alan is a practical joker.

So I'd like to reflect on some of his antics during his time here at WTAP.

When Alan isn't busy salting my coffee - yes I said salting! - he is changing the background pictures on the newsroom computers or hacking into other people's Facebook accounts to write awkward, yet funny statuses that one would be embarrassed about. In all fairness you should never leave yourself logged-in.

If you have noticed, you never can see Alan's feet during the weather and during the summer months he decided the proper foot attire would be flip-flops. There was even a time or 2 when he forgot dress shoes and had to forfeit his Daybreak interview (he's lucky I'm such a nice co-anchor).

Needless to say, it takes someone with a good sense of humor to be that energetic, awake, and mischievous at 3:30 in the morning (Alan) and someone with an even greater sense of humor (me) to put up with it!

In the end it's been a pleasure working with Alan, despite his practical jokes.

Good luck at WJBK Fox 2 in Detroit Alan, we will miss you!

Really enjoyed Alan Longstreet. Look for him every morning. So sorry to see him go back to Michigan. Ohio is so much better here with the Buckeyes. Good luck to Alan, wish him the best.
