Today, I got the chance to meet Alysa.

She is a super spunky, upbeat thirteen year old girl that had everyone we met laughing all day.

Alysa is one of the foster children featured on our Wednesday's Child segment that air's once a month...on Wednesday's of course.

Today, we went to Ultimately You Salon, where Alysa got her nails and hair done...and even got a feather put in her hair! I was very jealous of the cute pink and blank stripped feather that Alysa has!

Alysa is a very bright girl. This year, she is going to be in a high school Spanish class, and she's only in 7th grade!

She also loves swimming, singing, dancing, cheerleading, sports, and pizza!

It was so much fun to meet her and to be able to share her story to the WTAP viewers.

A family would be very lucky to have the opportunity to adopt such a bright and upbeat teenager.

The segment will air during the 6:00 newscast on Wednesday, August 9th. It will also be available on our website, too.
