There are no emergency advisory levels in effect in our Ohio counties at this time.
West Virginia has no comparable alert system, as the WV Legislature has not empowered WV Sheriffs to make these declarations.
Sheriff Larry Mincks issued this statement near 2:30 p.m. Friday:
"As of 2:30 pm on 2/25/2011 there are no roadways covered due to high water in Washington County. We are monitoring water that is near the roadway on SR 821 at MP 20. This location is just north of Macksburg and just south of the Noble County line. We anticipate this roadway may be covered in the near future and individuals planning to travel in this area should be cautious and alert. "
