Marietta city officials are in talks with the state to try and relocate Marietta's Municipal Court.
Mayor Michael Mullen says the administration has been working for over two years to acquire the old Ohio Bureau of Employment Services building at the corner of Third and Butler streets.
The city has received appraisals of the building and right now they are deciding on they're figuring out the right price.
"This is building is practically move-in ready, some renovation required and that's dependent on what functions we plan on using it for. Hopefully we'll come to a good resolution with the state of Ohio and make the right moves, make sure this is cost effective for the citizens of Marietta," says Mullen.
Mullen says the location of the court right now is cramped and too small for efficiency.
The OBES building would give the court 10,000 square feet.
