The second time is a charm for the Marietta Fire Department.
The Fire Department applied for a nearly $230-thousand Homeland Security Grant for the second time this year and this time around, they got the money.
The Department says they will use the money to get new fire gear like pants and coats.
They will also get a new air compressor and replace their existing air tanks; some of which are more than 20 years old.
The Department hopes to get the new equipment within two months.
