The products of a local company will soon be on a popular tv show.

Simonton Windows is donating energy efficient windows for three projects on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

The homes are in Illinois, Connecticut and Kansas.

A Simonton executive said they're excited to provide these top-quality windows to these important projects.

On the show hundreds of workers rebuild an entire house in just seven days for a lucky family.

The segments are set to air early next year.

Isn't that special? They do nothing for their own employees because of the economy, other than lay off the ones who have given them years of their lives, but they can remodel somebody's house that none of us know or even care about. Simonton doesn't exist anymore. Just a bunch of suits who are afraid that Fortune Brands ( Our Current Owners) will realize that these people were brought in on the buddy plan and have no value at all and let them go. This isn't a community company any more. It's a legal sweatshop tucked into the hills of Ritchie Co. Wake up, WV. These people care about nothing but themselves.

Tyfan, I understand that you are unhappy because you might have been one of the thousands of people nationwide that have lost your job. But due to the economy there has been lots of people that have lost their job. As am employee of Simonton Windows I am very proud that we are donating these windows for families in need. As a company Simonton Windows not only donates to Extreme Home Makeover but also is a partner in Homes For Our Troops.

neither simonton or simex(subdivision of simonton) care about any of their workers all they care about is money money money...i put almost 4 dedicated and hard working years in the company and they laid me off and many of my co-workers and gave our positions to those whom have much less time in, who also are lazy(tend to roam alot), and were actually DE-moted to the positions they were in and gave us NO warning...simonton does not care about anybody...they will not donate a dollar unless it gets publicized...donating windows is like "dropping a few pennies" anyway for simonton cuz it doesnt cost much to produce...they are a bunch of slave drivers...they supply workers with the cheapest materials and tools...the windows say "made in America" but i dont believe they should be allowed to be considered that since all of our equipment to make the windows say "made in China"...i could go all day lol
