A Wood County man has been arrested after police say he robbed an area 7-Eleven with a knife.
Parkersburg Police officials say in December of last year, Gurmel McDonald entered the 7-Eleven on Gihon Road, with a mask, and robbed the store clerk at knife-point.
McDonald got away with an undisclosed amount of money and a pack of cigarettes.
Monday night, McDonald was arrested on Domestic Violence charges.
After he was arrested, the Parkersburg Major Crimes Unit and the Detective's Bureau received a tip that McDonald may have been involved with the armed robbery back in December.
Police officials say that tip checked out and now McDonald remains in the North Central Regional Jail facing Armed Robbery charges.
