Issues And Candidates
WTAP News It wouldn't be November if there wasn't an election somewhere...and Ohio has some big issues...and some local candidates on ballots.

Well, the school levy is just a continuation of your current tax for the schools so that should not be an issue, just vote yes and keep paying what your paying. As for the alcohol I say HOOOORAY BEER!!!
Here here James, I completely agree. They just want the areas that vote down the alcohol issue every time to vote. I think that if they vote it down again, it should not be put back on the ballot. It is a waste of money when not all of the voters have a vote.
Belpre only allows certain precincts to vote on certain issues. The example I am referring to is the alcohol issue. I pay one percent of my gross income to the city and they deny me the right to participate in voting on this issue, however I am asked to vote yes on the Belpre Tax Levy. I would think that alcohol sales would generate enough tax that the city could drop the levy and utilize the new money. It seems the city can predetermine the outcome of a vote by only letting a select group vote. Sounds like Belpre should be spelled CORRUPT!
I am sorry to say that I am out of town and cannot vote today. But really there is no one to vote for. There are so few candidates, there is no real choice. I am for selling alcohol within Belpre and against Casino's taxing the people of this state. They say it is for the schools, but that is always the reason they give in order to pull on the heart strings of the voters. If the state truly wants to do a better job of financing the schools, they would fix the current way of funding them. You know, by finding a constitutional way.
