Drugs, alcohol and an illegal weapon are the ingredients that helped land two people from Detroit behind bars in Washington County.

53-year-old Annie Burks and 55-year-old Ralph Shade remain in the Washington County jail Sunday after an early morning traffic stop about four miles outside of Marietta.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they stopped Burks for wreckless driving at about 5:30 Sunday morning.

Burks was then arrested in connection with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Shade, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested in connection with illegally possessing a firearm and prescription drugs.

Troopers say another passenger was questioned and released without charges.
