Turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie will be the meal of choice in just two weeks, but getting it all on the table is often easier said than done.
The holiday season is the busiest time of year for food pantries. The Community Food Pantry in Marietta is all stocked up and ready to help families with this year's Thanksgiving feast.
The pantry receives a lot of help from local food banks, but it also depends on donations from the community.
"The numbers certainly increase this time of year, and with the economy the way it is, we expect to have a lot more this year than in past years," Scott Britton, the pantry's director, said.
Britton says that are many food pantries in more rural areas that could use some help with donations. He says if you'd like to help, just contact a local agency like the Salvation Army, which can give you more information.
