Wheeling, W.Va. (AP) -- Wheeling's Oglebay Park is ready to celebrate its 25th year of lighting up the winter holidays.
The park's annual Winter Festival of Lights begins Thursday with a ceremony at Wilson Lodge.
Since 1985, the festival has grown from five light displays over 125 acres to more than 70 displays across over 300 acres.
Although the festival lasts through the holiday season, for Harry Himrod it's a year-round operation.
The supervisor for the festival, Himrod has been involved since the beginning.
He says the displays require work and maintenance throughout the year.
Crews are especially busy replacing old bulbs with eco-friendly led lights that last longer and use less energy.
