Jackson Co. Man Found Not Guilty

The Jackson County, Ohio man accused in the shooting death of two people in Gallia County this past April has been found not guilty.
A Gallia County jury found Walter Stewart not guilty in connection with the shooting death of two business associates, Carolyn Merry and John Holley.
76-year old Stewart, from Welston, was charged with two counts of aggravated murder and one count of attempted murder.
Merry and Holley were shot to death near Holley Brothers Stone Quarry in late April.
During the trial, Stewart claimed he shot the two in self defense.
