Kicking the Habit
WTAP News Thursday the American Cancer Society held the 34th Great American Smokeout across the country to encourage smokers to kick the habit for this one day or for good.

Tobacco continues to be the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the U.S., according to the American Cancer Society.
Thursday the American Cancer Society held the 34th Great American Smokeout across the country to encourage smokers to kick the habit for this one day or for good.
Selby General Hospital teamed up with Wendy's in Belpre and Marietta to educate smokers about quitting.
People came in and exchanged their packs and even cartons of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco and received free combo meals at Wendy's Thursday.
Belpre Elementary students who are part of the Right Choice Club helped promote the event.
The Washington County Tobacco Prevention Project is holding free classes for people who smoke and chew tobacco on the following dates.
