West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin made a visit to Blennerhassett Junior High School Thursday to talk to students about the importance of getting the H1N1 vaccination.

Governor Manchin explained how contagious the virus is, and urged anyone who gets the swine flu to stay home.

Thursday's visit was part of Manchin's effort to educate people about the severity of the virus.

"We want to make sure all of our people in West Virginia are informed. Sometimes the best way to inform our parents and grandparents is through our children, and basically our children are the most vulnerable right now," Governor Manchin said.

Governor Manchin also spoke to students about getting a good education and building character.
