In Marietta, a grand jury handed down six indictments, and one involves a son that's charged with neglecting his own mother.

56-year-old Steven Sharp was indicted by the Washington County Grand Jury for failing to provide care for a functionally impaired person, his mother, 80-year-old Dorothy Sharp.

Sharp was arrested back in early September when officers with the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley searched his home in Newport after numerous animal complaints and found his mother living in deplorable conditions, surrounded by animal feces.

Dorothy Sharp is now living in a care facility.

Jeffrey Cottrell was indicted on theft charges and counterfeit of controlled substances.

Michael Broadnax was also indicted for trafficking crack cocaine and possession of Oxycodone.

Richard Hawkins was indicted for trafficking heroin, and possession of drugs.

Jason Winkle was indicted by the grand jury for complicity and in illegal possession of chemicals of manufacturing drugs, and also aggravated possession of drugs.

Bruce Porter was indicted for illegal manufacturing drugs, complicity and in illegal possession of chemicals of manufacturing drugs, and aggravated possession of drugs.
