A man accused of killing his just-born baby daughter has made his first appearance in court since being returned to the area.

A $1 million bond was set for Landon Eans, who is charged with one count of murder.

Hs preliminary hearing is set for next Wednesday.

Police say Evans ad a sexual relationship with an underage female resulting in the birth of a baby girl at a Marietta hotel in June, 2008.

Detectives say the baby girl was killed..burned and her remains disposed of somewhere in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
