A charge of intimidation of a witness against Wirt County Assessor Debbie Hennen has been dismissed.
Wood County Magistrate Emily Bradley, who was appointed to the case, dismissed the charge without prejudice Thursday morning. That means the case could be refiled.
Hennen was accused of intimidating two would-be witnesses in a separate investigation, according to a criminal complaint released last November.
She was found guilty in February of altering a public record, and fined $100. Hennen's attorney, Michele Rusen, says that decision is being appealed to Circuit Court.
