As National American Red Cross month marches on one local chapter received a very large gift.

Smith Concrete lent one of their cement trucks to the Washington County chapter of the American Red Cross. Dozens were on hand to see the premier of the truck after a pancake breakfast fundraiser.

Smith Concrete representatives say the truck is their way of helping the community. Dick Wilson, General Manager of Smith Concrete says "we decided that it was time to step up and support our community and neighbors. And what's better way to do it than support this organization."

Smith concrete donated two trucks to the American Cancer Society earlier this year and say they're thrilled with the way the Red Cross cement truck turned out.
