A local high school teacher is helping his students learn by making the past come alive in his lectures.
That's why Mr. James Dennis is our Jan Dils Golden Apple award winner for the month of November.
WTAP's Kim Lucey surprised Mr. Dennis at Parkersburg South High School Tuesday morning with the award.
Mr. Dennis has been teaching for 30 years and is a self-described storyteller.
Mr. James Dennis, Jan Dils Golden Apple Award Winner says: "If you can bring something out where they can actually relate and see something in maybe their personal lives or something that their relatives may have talked about. So every little story gives a little added bonus I think."
Congratulations Mr. Dennis!
