She's the kind of teacher every parent wants their kid to have. It's her kindness and dedication that earned this Jan Dils Golden Apple Award winner the prize for January.

The students at Barlow-Vincent Elementary went wild when the WTAP team announced Mrs. Joyce Crum as the Jan Dils Golden Apple Award winner Tuesday afternoon.

Parents say Mrs. Crum is more than just an 8 hour educator. She's dedicated to her students both in and out of the classroom.

From organizing field trips to attending sporting events, Mrs. crum goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure every child has a chance to shine.
