Two of the three people charged with abducting an Ohio teenager were reportedly friends with the girl.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jason Myers of Elyria, Ohio; 18-year-old Derrick Carroll of Amherst, Ohio and 18-year-old Jessica Hawkinberry of Wakeman, Ohio were arrested Tuesday in Ritchie County.
The arrests came after a motorist who heard an Amber Alert broadcast saw the suspects' vehicle and called 9-1-1.
The Amherst, Ohio Police Department charged the three with kidnapping. They also face fugitive from justice charges in West Virginia.
The 15-year-old told police she was stopped by the suspects while walking to school in Lorain, Ohio, Tuesday morning.
The suspects allegedly forced her to get into a white van, and she asked to be taken to her house so that she could pick up clothes and hygiene items. While there, she left a note for her mother saying she was being forced to leave.
Police say Carroll and Hawkinberry were friends whom the victim had met through mutual acquaintances. It's not clear whether she also knew Myers.
