We're getting into the holiday season and it's always a very demanding time of year for blood.
Making things worse, giving blood is not at the top of peoples priority list either, they have other things on their mind.
That's why WTAP teamed up with Marietta Memorial Hospital and Marietta College in asking people to come out and donate blood today.
Cindy Hart, the Outreach Services Coordinator at Marietta Memorial says giving blood can save a life.
"When your loved one comes to the hospital to receive blood, I think it's much safer for you to know the blood you receive is received locally, it's not bought from somewhere, we house all of our own blood," says Hart.
Today's blood drive on the Marietta College campus had a great turn out with over 50 people coming out and making a donation.
