A police officer in Meigs County is on administrative leave for allegedly stealing gasoline from the city of Middleport--and this is not his first suspension.
The Middleport Mayor says Lieutenant Jeff Miller is suspected of stealing gasoline from the town to use in his personal vehicle.
Miller is also facing allegations in the Village of Rutland where he serves as police chief.
County Prosecutor Pat Story says state authorities are looking into charges that Miller forged the signatures of village leaders to get money from the law enforcement trust fund.
In 2006, Miller was placed on administrative leave for allegations of sexual misconduct.
