It's been a year and a half since an Ohio woman and two Highway Patrol troopers were killed in a fiery crash. Now the state of Ohio has reached a tentative settlement with the woman's family.

Lori Smith's family would receive 1.1 million dollars under the agreement.

Smith died when a highway patrol car collided with her pickup truck in Gallapolis, in 2006.

Trooper Joshua Risner and Sgt. Dale Holcomb were also killed.

Smith's family had claimed that Risner was speeding and had improperly activated his emergency lights just before the crash.

The final settlement hasn't been filed yet in court.
