Charleston, WV (AP) -- The "Open For Business" signs are coming down.
On Sunday, West Virginia Division of Highways crews will begin changing the slogan on highway welcome signs back to "Wild and Wonderful."
Department of Transportation Secretary Paul Mattox says crews will start with four signs in Cabell and Mason counties. They are among 27 major entry signs and the work should be done by Memorial Day.
About 80 smaller signs should be completed by the end of June.
The "Open For Business" slogan was put on the welcome signs two years ago as a way to encourage investment in West Virginia, but it wasn't well received.
People who voted in an online and telephone poll last fall selected "Wild and Wonderful."
