Officials are investigating after a fatal fire in Washington County Friday morning.

The fire happened in the 3500 block of Burnett Rd. in Barlow.

The Washington County sheriff's department says the fire was called in just after 6 AM Friday by a passing school bus driver.

When crews arrived on the scene they realized a 76-year-old woman was inside the home but could not get her out of the fire.

Officials are not releasing the woman's name at this point.

Officials are not considering the fire suspicious but say the cause is under investigation.
