After more than a year, a section of West Virginia Route 14 is set to open up for travel again soon.

According to the West Virginia Division of Highways, West Virginia Route 14 between Mineral Wells and Pettyville should be open by Wednesday or even sooner.

A landslide has closed the four-lane stretch of road for more than a year. The landslide damage two lanes but all four lanes have been closed.

Centerline striping is scheduled for Monday and weather permitting, the road will be set to open right after that.

Officials say plans are also in place to extend this four lane highway to the Patriot Shopping Center in 2010.
