If you placed a 911 call this morning, the Wood County 911 Center might not have gotten it!
Around 6 this morning, Verizon told Wood County 911 that three out of the six main lines were not working.
The center saw that at times at least one 911 line was working but at other times, none were.
Director Randy Lowe says when calling 911, make sure you stay on the line, while its ringing, until a dispatcher responds.
"The 911 system is very complicated, there's a lot of variable that come into play. One variable is that you have different forms of communication, you hvae wireless and land line, most lines of communication go through Verizon to get to us," says Lowe.
Right now all lines are back up, Verizon is still investigating the issue.
