They may be too young to vote, but they're not too young to make a difference in their community!
Students in grades K through 9 from Wood County Christian School are spending the day sprucing up the city of Williamstown.
It's all part of Serving Others Day.
Planting new flowers at Tomlinson Park and picking up trash in the shelters are just a few of the things students are doing to give back to the community.
"We have other groups all over the community. They're at different churches, at private homes, helping, spring cleaning. Really just doing anything we get requests for," says 9th grade teacher LaWayne Smith.
"I've learned a lot because our first year we mowed and when I was in sixth grade we mowed and weed-whacked and stuff and I had never done that before. It was just a good experience learning how to do a lot of work and that kind of thing for the community," says Freshman Andrew Gutberlet.
More than three hundred fifty students participated in Tuesday's event.
