You may have noticed or maybe drove across WV 14 between Parkersburg and Mineral Wells Tuesday.

This stretch of road has been closed because of a landslide for over a year and reopened sooner than expected.

West Virginia Division of Highways officials announced it would reopen Wednesday but the signs are down and traffic is moving through.

Officials said plans are also in place to extend this four lane highway to the Patriot Center shopping plaza in 2010.

Well hopefully it was done right this time. Nothing like wasting tax payers money when the original contractor should have fixed this issue.
