A Mid-Ohio Valley animal shelter now has a one in three chance of winning a million-dollar makeover!

The Humane Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley in Marietta is one of the top three finalists in zootoo.com's nationwide animal shelter makeover contest.

The Marietta shelter and the Parkersburg Humane Society both have already won $5,000 dollars for placing in the top twenty in the competition.

After placing in the top 3 the Humane Society of the Mid-Ohio Valley will have won a total of at least $10,000.

The million-dollar makeover winner will be announced sometime next week during a media tour in New York City.

How tickled our community must be for you guys and the animals! You worked so hard to get here and I couldn't imagine a more deserving shelter. We'll be keeping our fingers -- and paws -- crossed!

It'd be nice if a shelter that could really really use it, like the one in Pleasants County, had the same support as these two do. I am glad that our area is getting some help but other places need it a lot more.
