There's been an unusual visitor in South Parkersburg this past week.
Dozens of residents have reported a black bear on city streets.
The bear was near Edgelawn Street off of Route 95, although officials think the bear has since moved out of the neighborhood.
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says calls started coming in over the weekend about a black bear on the south side.
Officials say trying to trap a bear can be very dangerous so they decided to try and get it to safely work its way back into the wild.
In the meantime, the DNR is advising people in that area to keep their trash in a secure can.
