Part of a Mineral Wells motel is about six feet off its foundation after a tractor trailer backed into it on July 4th.
Wood County Sheriff deputies said a tractor trailor backed into the Liberty Truck Stop Motel sometime early Friday morning.
No one inside the motel was injured.
When deputies arrived, Merritt Ward of Texas was asleep inside the truck.
Deputies said he was drunk and wouldn't comply with them so he was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstructing an officer.
Ward is free on bond.
