All these cell phone numbers have made this 10 digit dialing. Cell phones are ok but, still cost to much for what you get.
I like the system that is used in other states. Most people don't like change, but it would be easier to split the state always knowing that part of the state would have the same area code.
We've been using the 10 digit numbers now for about 3 years and you do get used to it, just like anything else. But, I'm with Shirley and Sam, they should have split the state's area codes. Its insane that someone living next door to you has a different area code.
Dictationship is already here when you censure comments about the new area code and I disagree with Conrade Manchin!
While dialing 10 digits it not a hardship, what is hard to figure out is why can every other state in this country have multiple area codes without EVERYONE in the state having to dial ten digits to reach someone in your SAME area code. That is ridiculous. Come on West Virginia, we're better than this.
SPLIT THE STATE THIS IS STUPID
why are some people so rude it is still a free country everyone has a right to voice there own opinion in ohio we have a spilt area code.
I can't get over ya'll complaining over 10 digit phone numbers. I hate to tell you, but people do this in a lot of places. In fact, I hate when I go visit places and they DON'T list the area code - makes it hard to use my cell phone if I don't know the area code. Granted, I grew up in WV, so I know 304. I agree with one poster, it could have been helpful to split the state, otherwise, you don't know if your neighbor is 304 or a new number. If you split the state, you might know what part of the state you are calling. Its good to know the state is growing and in need of another number!
this is not so good for the state at all. U have to put in a 10 digit number just to talk to some one then thats called STOP USING THE PHONE DUH!!!!!!!! then you could just email. duh why would they do that
I think they should have went with the first plan of splitting the state in half. That would make things easier to understand... now everyone will have to dial all ten digits everytime they call someone and your next door neighbor might have a different area code than you. That just doesn't make sense.
Hey Judith Hardbarger stop complaining and spend the extra 2 seconds and dial 304, its not that hard!
I can't believe I actually heard people complaining about having to push 3 numbers on the news. come on people!! how lazy can paople be??? Or is it that people are afraid of change. Nothing is ever going to stay the same...It's called technology!!!& having to use new area codes in a result of growth,,,,,how many states only have 1 area code....WV
