A man Washington County authorities say tried to kill his former girlfriend is in custody.

As WTAP-TV and WTAP.com first reported, 19-year-old Thaddeus Salomon allegedly stabbed 23-year-old Susan Lawson early Tuesday morning outside her home in New Matamoras.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says Salomon was arrested near the Pleasants-Tyler County line Tuesday afternoon.

Daisy Goodman, the mother of Lawson, tells WTAP-TV Salomon was staying at her house because "he had no place to go."

Lawson was stabbed in the lower back. She was transported by helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with what were called "life-threatening injuries."

Salomon faces attempted murder charges. He is behind bars in Pleasants County awaiting extradition.

Ok Steven If that's your brother then why wasn't he with you and you family Instead of telling everyone he had no where to go. And you didn't seen him on that day. I DID and damnit he looked bad. I still think what was done was the right thing too do And if you can't handle that then thats too bad. Myself and my co-worker knew something was wrong so we did what needed to be done. Why would he look so plain faced when he said he knew Susan's mom???? After I said i knew her too. See theres a story and I guess the Law will get to the tale of it. Time will tell. Like I said before, torn clothing, wet from head to toe, Shoe about to fall off his feet. Cuts on his arms... COME ON. So be pissed: i could really care less. He is where he needs to be And if guilty, then I guess he has a home.

Ok for everyone's info: The Washington County Sheriff did not arrest him.The Pleasant Sheriff Office did and it was Bill Stull and Steve McFarland. He was running down the railroad track by Davis Nursery and was spotted by the 2 workers there. When he saw us he was going to run and I asked him if I could help him and all he wanted was some water. So we gave it to him. He was soaking wet and told us we was hungry he hadn't eaten or drunk nothing in 2 day. I asked him where is was coming from and he told us New Mat. He had cut marks on his arms. Shoes was ready too fall off his feet. So we thought it just didn't look right so we did what we thought we should have. I kept talking to him while my co-worker called the Sheriff. I found out he knew Susan's mom. When I told him I knew her too, he got this look about him. He also told us we was fishing and got all the cuts on him.You know it's a funny feeling to know, after the fact, we were talking to someone that just might have killed someone.

I hope she will be ok because my step-dad was working when he discovered him panting in front of the Davis Nursery.

Iknew this family and these boys when they were young and they were a church going family. I just can't believe what I am seeing and hearing. I have been out of touch for years and it just dont add up what has happen and what went wrong. He come from a good family. I just cant believe he didnt have any where elese to go!!! I hope his family is still behind him.. If he has done what is said he done he needs to take responsibility for it but I hope he isnt to far gone that his family cant still love him.. God can forgive and so can we

i hope she will be ok susan & i have known each other for yrs i was very upset with the thaddus salomo i agree that he should be placed in jail forever without bail for what he did to my friend

ok steven you think hes was set up what the heck ever your brother sad to say is deminted sorry you dont have the guts to want to admit it but if he was innocent then why did he take off and run and swim across the river yeah that sounds like an innocent man huh? what does his poor truck tires have to do with the fact that this girls life is still hanging in the limbs thats all you are worried about heck with his tires what about her life was he mad that he couldnt go no where to run cuz his tires were punctured you are as self centered as he is

i am afraid for my daughter after i heard that my daughter is seeing his older brother and i have gotten news that he has been hitting my daughter i dont no what to do she just turned 18 and covers him for every thing what can i do to help her so she dont get hurt ?? some one please help ,,,, or let me no how i can get him away from her . he also was staying with use same as his brother was with ms, lawson i am scared for her ,,

yeah i read a comment about Mr.Salomon from a woman from New Mat, and that was very rude and so ignorant cause that man that did that is my BROTHER and i think he is INNOCENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he was set up for that. yeah i think he was set up cause by my understandings is that there was another man with him fighting over HER and he and the man got a knife and he stabbed her and put it on Mr. Salomon and the thing is someone punctured his trucks' tires and i think it does not add up.

He needs to get life and never be allowed outside to see day light again for the pain he has put upon my family and my sister's friends they should reinstate the death pentaly and give him the chair.
