A Washington County man is in custody right now for allegedly killing a woman at her Lang's Farm Road home, in Marietta.

Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks says Noal Quattlebaum is being charged with murder, after authorities found 21-year-old Amber Wesley, dead in her home.

Mincks says, after allegedly committing the homicide, Quattlebaum went to his parent's house in Waterford.

Sheriff Mincks says Quattlebaum's parents suspected there was something going on with Quattlebaum and Wesley, his live-in girlfriend, so they called the authorities.

Officials with the Sheriff's Department found Wesley's body and then arrested Quattlebaum at a residence in Waterford.

Mincks says Quattlebaum told detectives that he choked Wesley, who struggled and hit him in the face with a coffee mug.

Detectives say he continued to choke her and after she died, he bound her arms and legs and wrapped her in a blanket, leaving her in their Lang's Farm Road home.

Quattlebaum is now in the Washington County jail where he awaits a hearing.

Quattlebaum and Wesley shared the Marietta home with their child.
