Father Eric Hall returned home from World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia Thursday.

The Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church priest traveled with a group of 27 others from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

They were part of the nearly 400,000 people there to celebrate their faith.

His group represented the U.S. on the Sydney 2000 boat in opening ceremonies last Thursday.

Pope Benedict XVI joined them on board but he was two floors below them.

"Think about Woodstock only it's all about church stuff and living a life of faith and then multiply that by 500," said Father Hall.

The saint who the church is named after, St. Francis Xavier, is also the patron saint of Australia.

So Father Hall had 1200 metals blessed in Australia to bring back home to people here.

He's already looking forward to the next World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain in 2011.
