Owners of an historic Juliana Street home that had two trees crash through it in June are getting some money for the damages.

Parkersburg Mayor Nob Newell is calling this a very unusual circumstance.

The City's insurance company will reimburse the city and home owners for the tree removal and house repairs.

Mayor Newell says the city is liable because back in 2000, the City put both of those trees on a list of trees needing maintenance.

Mayor Newell says the trees fell because of a poor root system and not from wind as originally thought.

The Mayor says this year, there are $10-thousand dollars in the City's budget to fix problem trees.
