Traffic on I-77 near the Rockport exit is again moving following an accident that occurred shortly after 5:00 pm Wednesday.

WTAP-TV is still attempting to get more details on the accident, including the names of the victims, their conditions and what possibly caused the accident.

Traffic was backed up in the southbound lane for more than an hour while emergency crews removed the injured and cleared debris.

It's believed a van carrying at least one elderly person and children flipped several times. Authorities did set up a landing zone near the accident scene for a medical helicopter.

We hope to bring you more on this accident on FOX Parkersburg News at Ten, WTAP News at Eleven and here on our web channel, WTAP.com.
