WV Marine Killed In Afghanistan

Charleston, WV (AP) -- A Charleston marine has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense said Wednesday that 31-year-old Captain Garrett Lawton died Monday of wounds suffered during combat fighting in Herat Province.

Lawton was assigned to the 2nd Special Operations Battalion at Vamp Lejeune, N.C.
