The Washington County coroner confirms he was called out to a fatal accident at a business on Farson Street in Belpre.

The crash happened around 4:30 Friday morning.

A WTAP reporter, who was at the scene, says it appears a vehicle hit a fence, a tree, and a pole before coming to rest in the International Converter Inc. Parking lot.

WTAP is not sure how many people were in the vehicle but we do know at least one person is dead.

We'll continue to bring you updates as information becomes available.

i feel sooo bad for the families! i'm positive that the young boy fighting for his life, will be very grateful to god. And also sad that a good friend won't get to share the rest of his life with him.

i cannot believe you have the right to judge , what you shoul feel is sympathy for the families of these children. An How dare you blame the father for what two teenage boys id, Have you no compassion? I have lost 3 sisters, tragically and i pray you never have to go through that. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to each of these boys families!

I doubt the young boy was allowed to take the vehicle any time he wanted.

I want to say I am so sorry to the families of these children. I know first hand from losing a young child in my family that there is nothing that hurts as bad as this type of loss.I am praying that God will give each of you peace in this time of need.I hope you feel great comfort in knowing that there are people in your community who care. There is nothing that we can do or say to help you to feel better but we can pray for each one of you. God Bless You and remember I am so very deeply sorry for your loss.***(When you feel you cant go another step call out to Jesus he will carry you through)***That is a promise

I, too, have heard from reliable sources that the 13 year old Little Hocking boy is still alive. He came through surgery and is in an induced coma.

I was just with the family and it would be great if no one would post on here that the other boy has passed on. He is still alive and holding on. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with his family as well as the Joy family.

Alex wasn't like other guys. He would stand up and help anyone if they needed it. He was a caring, loving person that will always be in my heart. I just can't believe someone who i talked to and knew is gone as quickly as they were made. People aren't the same without you Alex and I just hope that you'r well and that you're in a better place. I'm sorry for his family, this must be a living nightmere. I hope this can be a reminder for everyone to think before you make a decision such as this. Alex made a mistake, yes, but I wish he was still here. Alex, we all love you.

Posted by: Nikki Location: Parkersburg on Aug 15, 2008 at 04:34 PM
There's nothing that can be said to make the pain any less for anyone, but it's good feeling to know how many people do care.
