Ohio state highway patrol officers are investigating after fatal accident in Athens County.

The crash happened just before Noon Tuesday on CR-33A in Athens County.

Officials say 24-year-old Jared Casteel drove his car off the road and into an embankment. The car overturned and Casteel was thrown from the vehicle.

Casteel was not wearing a safety belt. He died as a result of the accident.
