Three local American Red Cross volunteers are heading down South to help Gustav victims.

Jim Blair and John Kyle are both going to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to help supply food and provide medical attention to storm victims.

Mathew Cooper will be going to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to help people at a shelter who have lost their homes and food in the storm.

"I enjoy working with the public and just enjoy helping them," says Jim Blair, Volunteer.

"I was just watching the news on it and figured there's got to be something I can do to help," says John Kyle, Volunteer.

"It all depends on what happens with the storm, it could be a week, it could be three weeks, it could be a month, it all depend on what kind of devastation happens," says Mathew Cooper, Volunteer.

The American Red Cross needs all the help they can get, they're offering spontaneous training courses this Friday and Saturday.
