Police Conducting Internal Investigation After Shooting

A Parkersburg police officer is on administrative leave as the department investigates Thursday's shooting.
The shooting happened Thursday morning outside a home near 25th St. and Lincoln Ave.
Parkersburg police chief Gerald Board says a suspect had a gun and was shot by one of his officers. The suspect was said to be in stable condition Thursday.
Chief Board says anytime a situation like this happens an internal investigation takes place and the officer is placed on administrative leave.
He is not releasing the officer's name at this time and expects to have a report complete by Monday.
