"not the druugy whos out at 1 am" First off, what is a druugy? If you are referring to a drug user, being out at 1am does not make you a drug user. I worked for year at night. If a person goes to the late evening showing of a movie, they will most likely be coming home at 1am. Although, the police were sure out at 1am...
I think what the officer did was a bit overkill. He shot the boy 3 times. I think 1 time would have been a sufficient amount to give Him the idea. The Boy was evidently messed up on some drug, or just insane to begin with, but still 3 shots fired?? The boy never even fired a shot at officers. I think 3 gun wounds to him was uncalled for.
as much for the officer's sake as anyone's, why not turn this over for an "external" investigation (for instance tot the West Virginia State Police)so that when he's cleared, no one can say it was PKB PD protecting their own? I would think that would be what the Mayor would want.
Um at 11:39 the posted comment by unknown? Where was the person while they should have been in 6th. grade english class? WOW!!did he/she watch the news or read the paper? This is just a small exzmple of the citizens in our area! Now if you have a gun and you point at an officer, Well! Do ya think they are going to take you to Mc Donalds for some fries? or possibly take your picture to be in COPS TODAY? DORK!! And by the way where is your spell check and WEBSTER DICTIONARY? You make Parkersburg PROUD!
Both Unknown and Unknown personal: Please learn to spell and punctuate before leaving another post. You look ridiculous!
Everything is happening as it should be. The shooting is being investigated by people both inside and outside the department. When they complete their investigation we will have confidence in their findings. Until then, these are very stressful days for the officer. As for the one who was shot, he should wake up every day the rest of his life both amazed and thankful that he is still here.
ACCIDENTS HAPPEN AND YES HE HAS TO DEAL WITH THAT THE REST OF HIS LIFE........... THERE YA GO UNKNOWN
You dont know what the police are facing, they dont just shoot for something to do try and support your police and give them the benefit of the doubt not the druugy whos out at 1 am
Posted by: UNKNOWN on Sep 5, 2008 at 11:39 AM I think he should be confiected.. if he shot that officers weather it was anthor officer or not... confict his but because--if that happened to use there would BE NO QUESTION WE WOULD BE PUT AWAY FOR A LONG TIME... so dont do specail treatment for him!!! he did the crime he does the time... but in the mean while i hope the offices thats hurt is okay... THANKS That was a waste of of time reading that! Good lord! Learn to spell before posting anything again!
Ok, unknown. It helps to read the actual story first. An officer was not shot. An officer shot a man who was allegedly in the possession of weapons and aiming at the officer. So yeah, I think your comment just doesn't count. Thanks anyway. Play again.
it was shot or be shot, a suspect has a gun, refuses to put it down and then threatens you with it...you be an idiot not to shoot him, it would be a horrible thing to have to do..however at some point people need to learn to respect authority and not act beligerent...
Unknown, I'm glad you were able to say what was on your mind. Shame we can't understand it.
WELL I THINIK THEY SHOULDNT PROSUE THIS I THINK THEY JUST NEED TO LEAVE IT ALONE HE HAS TO DEAL WITH SHOTTING A MAN FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE....JUST KEAVE IT ALONE... THANKS FOR YOUR TIME UNKNOWN PERSONAL
