They need to put in metal detectors in the school and have security guards there 24/7 like a freaking normal school would and punish the little brats doing it
About what the mother of three said, it is obvious they are not punished by their parents or they wouldn't be doing this in the first place and contrary to what you may think the police only catch them it's up to the court to punish them
This is all totally ridiculous. If someone were placing a bomb in the school, they would not call and tell on themself. If they just wanted to blow the building up they would do it on the weekend when it is unoccupied. If they put it in there when there are kids in it, they would be trying to hurt people. They would not warn them. Thank goodness it is nonsense because taking the kids out on the front campus if the building were about to explode would hardly be a safe distance. I also have to agree that the so called "bomb sweeps" are a joke. It would take a huge team of trained specialist hours and hours to go over every inch of that school. Come on kids, if you hate your after-lunch classes that much, just ditch class like a normal person and let the rest of the world get on with their lives. To PHS personnel: you need to get organized. If there were really a situation we needed to get our kids out of, standing in line on the street for an hour would not cut it!
CAN PPL REALLY BE BLAMING PARENTS?!!!ARE YOU SERIOUS? WE CAN NOT BE WITH OUR CHILDREN 24 HOURS A DAY! KIDS CAN BE STUPID BECAUSE THEY ARE IMMATURE AND DO NOT CONSIDER THE LONG TERMS EFFECTS OF THERE ACTIONS!WE DO NOT KNOW THE CHILDREN OR PARENTS , AND SHOULD RESERVE JUDGMENT DON'T YOU THINK? BTW HOW DO YOU SUPPORT YOUR FAMILY? A JOB? NOW A DAYS BOTH PARENTS HAVE TO WORK.
Due to the number of bomb threats already recieved this year and the fact that tommorrow is 9/11. My child and many others will not be attending. I also feel that the procedure to pick up the kids is horribly mismanaged. It is also appalling that 9/11 is not a holiday.
Okay,This is ridiculous, the first day the search lasted 3 hours, the second and hour and a half and the third not even an hour. If they dont ALWAYS take these seriously, one day it WILL be real and then we'll all be screwed because the police and firemen are too lazy to do there da** jobs!
These threats are not only involving the school and its students, but the community as well. Such as the surrounding business who loose money from all the traffic, the constrution workers who are trying to improve the school, the outside workers that have business inside the school, and all the law inforcement that it takes to access the situation. Do they get reinbursed or get the say in what happens to the offenders. The kids that are doing this are well aware of the conc. of their actions and are old enough to know better, they should have to pay for it as well. Its hard enough for the school with all the changes, someone needs to (parents) talk to thier children and start enforcing the wrath of GOD on them. These kids do have PARENTS, they just need a lesson.
I think that it is completely unfair that they release some minors names and not others. I read in the paper where they released the names of minors who were charged with underage consumptions, but the paper and the news refuse to release the names of the minor who called in the bomb threat. I do not understand why they wouldn't release the names of the child who threatened the lives of our local high school students. You know that the minor has taken part in a terrorist threat. I know that I would much rather know the names of potential terrorist rather than the name of a minor who drinks underage.
Where are the parents to these kids that are calling? The kids and the parents both need to be charged. It's time to take control of the kids. Take their cell phones and cars away. Quit going out to the clubs or whatever and raise your kids. This is B.S. all the way. Something needs to be done. Maybe put Corporal punishment back into the schools.
Every bomb threat needs to be taken seriously. One bomb dog can not sniff out an entire building in the short time mentioned! Imagine what could happen if everyone gets too complacent! The teachers are as upset and stressed out about this as the students and parents. Demand that the buildings be better secured in off-school hours so that not just anyone can walk in and around inside. Insist that those caught be punished to the fullest extent of the law and made an example before the students. Until this situation is under control, a better process needs to be in place for those parents who do not want to have their children lingering around in the stadium or Field House.
Crazy thing is their might not be a warning and something BAD could happen. The person or persons should be made public and charged for threating livesand more!!
What are you talking about? Kids like this don't have anything close to a PARENT. And the school can't do anything because it's not legal to punish a "child" these days. Then our prosecuting attorney Ginny Conley won't do anything to get criminals mad at her. So in short everything is on their side.
. Maybe their parents should be charged with some felonies too.Put their addresses and phone numbers out their so someone could harrass them, this is b.s.
Maybe Brad has his sign right, this time. These bomb threats to schools are out of control. Our children should feel safe at school,at least, if no where else.
Go figure.. if its a juvenile.. it doesnt matter.. post the name and put him in JAIL and not detention
