anyone who raises any type of animal should be alarmed at the proposed legislation on limits. Are dairy and cattle farmers regulated as to how many animals they can have? what about sheep and goats and pigs? The emphasis on family pets is a subversive attempt to eliminate all pets. Fight the animal rights activists! We have laws already that protect animals from abuse--just enforce those laws.

Yep just what we need, more laws. If current laws were enforced then dogs would not be in abusive situations. The Humane Society has an agenda. They would like to put a stop to dog breeding all together. They will set the limit at 50, then 25, nope that is to many, eventually you will be lucky to be allowed to own 2 dogs.

Sure thats what we need more governmental bull*** if left up to some people you'd have the governemnt tell you how many children you can have, how many cars you can own, etc.. etc.. Wake up people where does this sort of thing stop, giving up ones freedom for some stupid idea like this is all we need, the government is taking more and more of our liberties away and noone is all that concerned about it. Look at what is going on in china right now. That goverenment tells its people how many children they are allowed, and heaven forbid they have a girl. A law for how many animals you can own..sheesh..give me a break. I got it, I need a license for 3 children, 1 cat, 2 dogs, 2 cars a tv and 2 computers, also need one for a cell phone, lawn mover and grass, oh need one for the gas that goes in the lawn mover. Heck why dont we just become complete and total SERFS right now. Maybe the women running the kennel did have to many, but that doesnt give YOU the right to judge someone else!

If you are going to put licenses on cats as well as dogs, then don;t stop; include birds.. and fish.. hamsters, iguanas, and any other pets.

i think that an animal breeder should be inspected just like a restaurant is. there should be health guidelines that have to be met for the animals. even though the animals may not be a "pet" to the breeder they all have rights. they should have basic care and most do not. i think that all the breeding animals should have exercise areas and not kept in kennels or pens like most are. i also think there should be fines for those who do not abide. i feel a responsible breeder will not object to being inspected because they should have nothing to hide.

There needs to be laws on how many animals you can own. Cats you should have to buy licenses for just like dogs.
