A Wood County Schools employee charged with engaging in illegal sex acts and possessing child pornography waived his preliminary hearing Monday.
In exchange of waiving the hearing, Lonnie Moore Sr. saw the evidence of child pornography pictures from the state and received copies of witnesses statements.
The forty-five year old's case will now go before the grand jury.
Parkersburg Police said a family member of the Wood County computer technician borrowed one of his personal computers and found hundreds of images of child pornography.
"Even though this defendant was a school employee at the time these charges occurred, there's been a thorough search by the Parkersburg Police Department and the Wood County schools to ensure there were no photographs involving school children," said Wood County Prosecutor Ginny Conley.
Moore is on administrative leave and remains in the North Central Regional Jail on a $40,000 bond.
