Berecz Found Guilty in April Standoff, Deputy Shooting

A verdict has been reached in the trial of a Washington County man accused of shooting an officer and holding police on an all-night standoff in April 2008.
Jason Berecz was found guilty on 13 of 16 counts including all charges related to shooting of Deputy Parks. The verdict came down at 11:36 am Tuesday.
The jury began deliberations around noon on Monday.
Berecz is set to be sentenced November 18th.
